KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce all site safety policies and ensure workers follow safe work practices.
- Conduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as excavation, working at height, hot works, and equipment operations.
- Identify and address unsafe behaviors or conditions; recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment across the site.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents; prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain documentation such as daily safety checklists, incident logs, and permit records.
- Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
- Train site personnel in safety protocols, hazard awareness, and first aid basics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Certified Safety Officer.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in safety supervision, preferably in urban road project construction.
- In-depth understanding of safety legislation, risk assessment, and construction hazards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Full-time site-based role; may require early morning or weekend work.
- Exposure to construction site conditions: noise, dust, machinery, and variable weather.
- Must be physically fit and respond quickly in emergencies.
